What you can learn

See how the pieces fit together.

A company name is a starting point. The people behind it, the documents and the deal add context. AMLUM is designed to connect them, so each review does not start with piecing together separate records.

Illustrative story

You have information. You need connections.

Each record answers a different question.

A document identifies the company. For overdue contributions, you need the type of insurance and the period involved. An enforcement record and the company’s registered status each call for a separate check.

See how to check the evidence

Which record needs checking today?

In this example the company register records liquidation. The enforcement entry still needs to be matched to the company and checked for progress. Until the insurer’s record is available, the arrears question stays open.

See how findings inform a review

Check the source, date and scope of each finding. A search with no match in one list leaves the company’s overall debt position open.

People behind the deal

Start with who you are dealing with.

The person in a meeting, the company on the agreement and its owner may be different parties.

Who can act for the client

Identity evidence tells you who a person is. Authority explains whom they can act for and to what extent. The distinction also matters for representatives and clients who are minors.

Facts in context

Then make sense of what you found.

A name match, a document and a payment each need the right context.

What has actually been checked

A list match may refer to someone else. A document may be out of date. Identity, source and timing matter when checking a finding.

Understand a check’s meaning

How the payment fits the deal

Participants, purpose and source of funds where relevant belong in the client’s context. A later change may call for a fresh review.

Decide and continue

Keep the basis for the next decision clear.

A conclusion needs a reason. The team needs to know what has been done and who takes over.

Risk that can be explained

The planned Risk Engine connects an assessment to the circumstances behind it. The detail covers further information, enhanced due diligence, approval and review where required.

Explore the reasons and methodology

Work the next person can build on

The planned history retains earlier findings and the reasons for changes. Access, editing and approval depend on the role and organisation.

Explore changes and teamwork

The scope of work depends on the legal profile, service and case. Professional and statutory decisions remain with the responsible people.

Questions before an introduction

We already use spreadsheets and folders. Why look at AMLUM?

If they make it easy to find what was checked and why, they are doing their job. AMLUM is being developed for situations where those connections are scattered across records. An introduction can explore whether a connected workflow would add value to your way of working.

Which registers and sources will be connected?

We confirm individual online connections against their currently verified status. During a demonstration, we identify live connections, internal sources and illustrations. An unavailable source must not be treated as a negative screening result.

Is AMLUM already available for day-to-day use?

AMLUM is in development, with completion and integration work under way. An introduction explains the approach and helps assess its fit for your activity. We confirm current availability and supported scope against the actual product status.

Find the connection missing from your current process.

It might be a person behind a company, an unclear document or a case handover. Describe the situation and we will choose an example together.
